VietNamNet Bridge – The Tet holiday is coming nearer and hotels and restaurants in the city under the management of Saigontourist are introducing food and entertainment programs with many options for guests.

* Grand Hotel (8 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, tel: 3829 4046)

At the hotel’s Chez-Nous Restaurant there will be a Russian food program from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve (February 13) prepared by the famous Russian chef Sarxat Xalilov N. who specializes in serving the Russian President. Moreover, the hotel’s chef will make traditional dishes for Tet together with grilled seafood dishes which won gold medals at the Vietnam Gastronomic Festival in Hanoi.

Revelers can enjoy Russian beer, Cocktail Grand and soft drinks during the party and the animated music and dance performance of the Coco Flamenco band. Tickets are VND740,000 per adult and VND450,000 per child. Those booking ten tickets before February 12 will get one free.

At the Bell-vue Restaurant, guests can enjoy a fireworks display and wait for the special moment of the New Year from 10:30 p.m. with a cocktail buffet together with wine, beer and soft drinks. Tickets are VND450,000 per person, allowing guests to enjoy the merry atmosphere with dancing, picking lucky buds and dancing to Coco Flamenco. Those booking ten tickets before February 12 will get one free.

The first day of the New Year coincides with Valentine’s Day (February 14) so tourists can enjoy the Couple Festive Night at the hotel with a buffet party featuring grills, seafood and specialties of Russia, Russian beer and cocktails and Coco Flamenco. Tickets are VND450,000 per adult and VND275,000 per child. Those booking ten tickets before February 12 will get one free.

* Bong Sen Hotel Saigon (117 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, tel: 3829 1516)

From February 11 to 16, Buffet Ganh Restaurant will launch a New Year lucky buffet program featuring daily dishes and specialties of all three of Vietnam’s regions.

Guests take a look over a lion dance for Tet holiday at the Bong Sen Hotel Saigon.

Especially, on New Year’s Eve and the first day of the New Year, tourists can join in picking lucky buds and hear an ethnic musical performance.

Buffet lunch is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and costs VND150,000++ per adult and VND75,000++ per child. Buffet dinner is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and costs VND250,000++ per adult and VND125,000++ per child.

* Lemongrass Restaurant (Palace Hotel Saigon, 55-66 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, District 1, tel: 3829 1520)

On New Year’s Eve, revelers can celebrate New Year’s Eve with Fireworks Display together with the set menu of the restaurant on the 14th floor of the Palace Hotel and enjoy an ethnic musical instrument performance and free Australian wine. The 15th and 16th floors are ideal for a panorama of the bustling and animated atmosphere of Saigon below as well as Nguyen Hue Flower Street. The party on the 14th floor is set for 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and is VND900,000 per person while the 15th and 16th floor party is VND1.3 million per person.

* Dong Khanh Restaurant (2 Tran Hung Dao B Street, District 5, tel: 3923 6404)

On Valentine’s Day, also the first day of Tet, a buffet dinner will be celebrated from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., promising tourists many good dishes. Tickets are VND385,000 per adult and VND214,000 per child. Those purchasing tickets before February 10 will be treated with a 10% discount for a party of less than ten, a 15% discount for a party of ten or more and a 20% discount for a party of more than 20. Couples who book a party at the restaurant this month will be given a 20% discount.

From February 14 to 18, buffet lunch at the restaurant is VND171,000 per adult and VND128,000 per child.

* Thien Hong Hotel (52-56 Tan Da Street, District 5, tel: 3855 3472)

A buffet celebrating the Year of the Tiger will be hosted on the hotel’s 9th floor at 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve featuring over 30 Vietnamese and Chinese dishes and music and dance shows. Tickets are VND229,000 per adult and VND149,000 per child. Those purchasing ten tickets will be given one free.

* Que Huong 1 Hotel (49 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 3, tel: 3829 4443)

A buffet program of 40 selected dishes will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. from February 14 to 17. Tickets are VND299,000 per adult and VND179,000 per child.

* Saigon Ship Restaurant (Bach Dang Wharf, District 1, tel: 3823 0393)

From February 15 to 17, tourists will be treated to a cruise on the Saigon River, departing at 11:30 a.m. and finishing at 2 p.m. On the ship, revelers can enjoy a buffet party of 50 dishes accompanied by a
circus show, jugglery and live music. Tickets are VND190,000 per adult and VND120,000 per child. In the evenings, the ship runs two shifts, one from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and one from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

* Binh Quoi 1 Tourist Area (1147 Binh Quoi Street, Binh Thanh District, tel: 3556 5891)

Food and entertainment programs will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. February 15 to 18. Tickets are VND180,000 per adult and VND100,000 per child, inclusive of music shows and lottery games.

* Binh Quoi 2 Tourist Area (1147 Binh Quoi Street, Binh Thanh District, tel: 3556 6020)

A buffet called Good Dishes from the Coast Region featuring 60 seafood dishes will be prepared for tourists to celebrate Tet from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. February 15 to 17, accompanied by circus acts, jugglery and the Latin Eyes band. Tickets are VND150,000 per adult and VND90,000 per child.

* Van Thanh Tourist Area (48/10 Dien Bien Phu Street, Binh Thanh District, tel: 3512 3026)

A Tet buffet of traditional Vietnamese cuisine, a Tet music show and folk games will be held from 5 p.m. February 15 to 21. Tickets are VND170,000 per adult and VND100,000 per child.
