Cambodia Explorer – 13days

An in-depth tour that takes the too frequently ignored overland route from the temples of Angkor to the stunning Capital of Phnom Penh. En route you will discover ancient temples and fascinating traditional villages.

Day 1: Phnom Penh – Arrival by noon flight
Day 2: Phnom Penh – Phnom Da – overnight in Takeo (B + Lunch box)
Day 3: Takeo – Kep – Kampot – Sihanoukville (B)
Day 4: Free -  Sihanoukville (B)
Day 5: Free -  Sihanoukville (B)
Day 6: Free -  Sihanoukville – Phnom Penh (B)

Day 1: Phnom Penh – Arrival by noon flight
Arrive at Phnom Penh airport. Visa arrangements. Welcomed by your local guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel. Lunch not included In the afternoon, take a city tour to visit Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, and the National Museum of Khmer Arts and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Dinner not included and night at hotel in Phnom Penh.

Day 2: Phnom Penh – Phnom Da – overnight in Takeo (B + Lunch box)
After breakfast, we will leave from Phnom Penh to Takeo province, 85 kms south. On the way, we will visit to Ta Prohm and Yeay Pov temples in Tonle Batie before going to Phnom Da by private speedboat. Lunch box will be included on the trip and you will take this lunch at the footstep of Phnom Da hill. Spend your afternoon visit to Ahram Moharussey and its surrounding temples. Then travel back to Takeo city by speedboat. Check in at hotel for the night in Takeo.

Day 3: Takeo – Kep – Kampot – Sihanoukville (B)
Breakfast at local restaurant before traveling by road to Sihanoukville via Kep and Kampot. This trip will take you along the most beautiful country road via the rice fields, the marine parts and nice mountains. You will stop for a nice walk along the crab markets in Kep as well. You can enjoy your lunch here if you need (pay on spot). Arrives in Sihanoukville, check in at hotel for the night.

Day 4: Free -  Sihanoukville (B)
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the day at leisure + Night at hotel (no guide)

Day 5: Free -  Sihanoukville (B)
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the day at leisure + Night at hotel (no guide)

Day 6: Free -  Sihanoukville – Phnom Penh (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Our driver (no guide) will pick you up from Sihanoukville hotel and transfer back to Phnom Penh. Check in at hotel + Night in Phnom Penh.

Day 7: Phnom Penh – Kampong Cham – Kampong Thom (B)
After breakfast, we will leave by road from Phnom Penh to Kampong Cham by overland (124 km, good condition, 2 hours). On the way stop for a short visit at Skun local market where the group can see or taste the rare spider before proceeding to Kampong Cham where they will visit to Wat Nokhor with its ancient temple, Wat Phnom Pros. A look at Wat Phnom Srey temples and Kozina Bridge. After your own lunch, we will leave for Kampong Thom by road. This trip will take you along the rubber plantation farms, the rice paddy fields, the Khmer Villages and the mangroves. Arrives in Kampong Thom, check in at hotel for the night

Day 8: Kampong Thom – Sambo Preikuk - Siem Reap – Free (B)
After breakfast, we will visit the temples of Prasat Sambo Prei Kuk, and its allied temples. From there, we will leave straight away to Siem Reap. Arrives in Siem Reap in the later afternoon, check in at hotel. Rest of the time remains at LEISURE and night at hotel

Day 9: Siem Reap (B)
Breakfast at hotel. This morning, we will start the first visit to pre-Angkorian temple of Roluos Group : Lo Lei, Preah Ko and Ba Kong temples. Lunch not included

In the afternoon, visit to Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei, Neak Pean and Preah Khan temples. Dinner not included and night at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 10: Angkor Wat - Bayon (B/-/D)
After breakfast, we will continue with your tour to see the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Bapuon, Elephant Terrace, and Leper King Terrace. Lunch not included. In the afternoon, visit the fabulous Angkor Wat complex and sunset from the top of Phnom Ba Kheng hill. Enjoy your dinner with the traditional Khmer Dance Show. Overnight at your hotel

Day 11: Banteay Srei  + Ta Prohm temples (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Today you will take an excursion to the famous Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre which are about 30 km away from Siem Reap. In the afternoon, visit to Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda, Ta Keo and Ta Prohm temples. Dinner not included and night at hotel

Day 12: Siem Reap + Boat trip (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Excursion to floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake where they will enjoy the boat ride to see the floating houses, schools, hospitals, churches and restaurant. Lunch not included. In the afternoon, visit to Siem Reap local markets and Wat Thmey Pagoda. Dinner not included and night at hotel

Day 13: Siem Reap – Departure (B)
After breakfast at hotel, free at leisure until transfer to airport for departure flight.
