Day 1 : Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Ben Tre - Can Tho ( L / _ )
8 : 00 AM Pick up at your hotel in HCMC ( To be advised ). Depart for My Tho. Take a leisurely boat ride through Bao Dinh natural canal, which is lined with stilt houses and fruit plantations. Proceed to the Tortoise island and have lunch in the heart of the orchard. Enjoy a boat ride through Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadows of the water coconut trees.

11.30am: Pick up at your hotel in Phnom Penh and transfer to the boat pier for boarding the Blue Cruiser Express boat to Chau Doc. Arrive at Chau Doc around 3.30pm. Pick up and transfer to your chosen hotel. Enjoy an hour's cruise down the Lower Mekong River. In the afternoon, visit Sam Mountain and the cave pagoda. From the summit of the mountain, admire the sunset over the flat rice fields around the Vietnamese-Cambodian border. Welcome dinner and overnight in Chau Doc.

The Mekong River, the longest river in Indochina, is divided into nine tributaries within Vietnam and has spawned the vast Mekong Delta. The Mekong Delta is often referred as the 'rice bowl' and the 'garden of heaven', because of its rich soil which is ideal for growing fruit, vegetables and flowers. However, periodic floods have forced the local people to adapt their way of life to the vagaries of the delta and this tour allows you to experience their precariously balanced 'life on the water'.

A smooth one and a half hours bus ride passing rice fields and stopping over the national High Way 1, leads visitors to the beautiful rural district of Trung Luong. The morning trip continues on the motorised bood to enter My Tho City though the Bao Dinh canal. Visitors then pay a visit to the My Tho street Fruit market alongside the canal, Here they can join in with daily activities of the local.
